Transition from hierarchy to adhocratic organizational culture in a Ukrainian university: From survival to successful development in the conditions of war

This study aims to investigate the transformation of organizational culture during year active phase russian-Ukrainian war that contributes survival Bogdan Khmelnitsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University as an organization and is a factor in transition from successful dynamic development. Due occupation certain territories Ukraine, university was forced relocate free territory city Zaporizhzhia. It lost all its buildings other material resources; around 25% students, faculty, funding. Despite extreme conditions university’s functioning stress teachers students under constant attacks on civilians by occupiers, has resumed educational process research. A formal sign success scientific work growth position Consolidated ranking Ukrainian universities. In sphere, interdisciplinary academic programs have become significant trend war. Innovations management ensured quickly adapted environment. These innovations were primarily related transitioning hierarchy adhocratic culture. The main areas changes were: renewal personal composition management, reorganization structural units, updating system regulations, complete electronic document management.
